The desert, both fragile and powerful, reveals how privilege, politics and access to resources intersect with ecological issues like, climate change, water use, and development. Rooted in personal connection and curiosity, the work reflects echoes of a colonial past, and the broader disconnection between humans and land. The series challenges simplified ideas of what the desert and the people in it look like while asking what is lost when we no longer understand the forces that sustain us.
